Gilt tools use the Debt Management Office list of conventional gilts and public clean prices. They assume you buy now and hold to redemption at £100. Accrued interest, dealing costs, bid-offer spreads, custody costs, and index-linked gilts are not included.
Tax figures are simplified illustrations, mainly for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Scottish Income Tax bands differ. Personal Savings Allowance and other allowances can change the real outcome. Growth rates, inflation rates, and State Pension figures you enter are assumptions, not guarantees. Life expectancy markers use ONS UK period life expectancy data as a default illustration only. They are not a prediction of lifespan.

The pension drawdown calculator and savings calculator can save named calculations in this browser when you are signed out.
When you are signed in, drawdown and savings calculations you save are stored on our servers against your account so you can open them on other devices. Calculator projections still run in your browser. Browser-only saves are not sent to our servers as an account and can be lost if you clear site data, use another device, or use a different browser.
