Enter a starting balance, an annual interest rate, and how long to project. Add optional regular deposits and withdrawals, including yearly increases, to see how the pot could grow — or shrink.

Projections run in your browser. Named calculations stay in this browser when you are signed out (up to 3). When you are signed in they are saved to your account (up to 20), and you can project up to 10 accounts in one calculation.
Interest uses the annual rate you enter, divided by the compounding frequency: 365 days, 52 weeks, 12 months, or once a year. With yearly compounding, each complete year gets the full rate, and any leftover months get that same share of a year — so 3 extra months earn 3/12 of the annual rate. On each date the order is (balance + deposits) − withdrawals, then interest on that remaining amount. The year is treated as 365 days, so February is 28 days.
Deposits can be weekly, monthly (the default), or yearly. At the start of each new year the regular deposit can rise by a percentage or by a fixed amount.
Withdrawals can be a monthly or yearly amount, or a percentage of the current balance each month or year. The withdrawal amount or rate can also rise by a percentage each year. If a withdrawal is larger than the remaining balance, the pot is emptied and further withdrawals stop until more money is added.
The table shows start balance, deposits, withdrawals, interest, and end balance for each year — open it with Show year-by-year table. The chart plots the balance from today through the end of the term. When several accounts are included, the combined total is shown as well.
